    The organization incorporated in March 1962 for the purpose of providing education to the public about the craft of weaving.
  • Blacksheep Handweavers Guild
    The Black Sheep Hand Weavers Guild is an HGA-affiliated guild located in the San Francisco Bay area. The purpose of the Guild is to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge in the textile arts, and to encourage efforts and activities in all fields of textiles.
  • Textile Links
    Articles and links covering spinning, weaving, quilting, felting, knitting, sewing, dyeing, and the whole  world of textiles.  This is a very comprehensive collection of links.
  • Educational Weaving Site
    This unnamed site on the University of Arizona Computer Science has a huge on-line digital archive of documents on weaving and related topics.

  • Claims to be "The Largest Cyber Meeting Place for Rug Weavers in the World"  We'll take their word on that!  About 850 subscribers to their online bulletin board, "RugTalk"
  • Internet Weaving Studio
    This site provides design tools and patterns for handweavers. The tools can be used over the internet. In the case of card weaving, you can also install and run the software locally on your computer. To use the tools over the internet, your computer needs to have a Java enabled browser and needs to support Javascript.

    FiberScene is an artist resource and fine art gallery. They specialize in San Francisco Bay Area Fiber Art with a goal toward education, exhibition and sales. They offer the highest quality artwork by professional artists with well-established reputations. Theyalso promote up and coming artists and recent MFA graduates from Bay Area Fiber Programs.
