All my friends eat Happy Dog dog food!

Some of our favorite sites dedicated to animals.  Click on the animal names to expand or contract the list.

  • Dogs
    • Happy Dog Food
      • Yes, the best dog food in the world is made in Aromas, CA!  It's the only thing our security staff here at Loom & Essence eats.
    • American Kennel Club
      • Not that we're a big fan of pure breeds.  All our dogs are of the mutt variety.  But the AKC website is well designed and full of great information about dogs.  The Breeds section is nicely done.
    • Monterey Bay Dog Training Club
      • There are no bad dogs.  Just badly trained ones!  Great site for information about obedience training classes in the Monterey Bay area.
  • Llamas
    • The Backcountry Llama
      • Llama packing, news, equipment, literature and ranch source.
    • Llamapaedia
      • Llamapaedia is for everyone with an interest in Llamas. Written by veterinarians, it is intended to be an accurate source of information on husbandry, breeding, care and resources for further information.  This site has not been updated in a while but the information is still very valuable to anyone owning or considering buying a llama.
    • Llama Web
      • Llama Web is intended to provide information about llamas for people interested in these South American camelids. This information includes pointers to llama farms, so that you can contact different individuals who own llamas.
    • Click & Reward
      • Click & Reward is an exciting positive reinforcement training technique
developed especially for llamas by Jim & Amy Logan
    • Cattle Panel and Tarp Shelter
      • Reprint of an article by Gwen Ingram from the Fall 2000 edition of BackCountry Llama newsletter.  Please visit the Backcountry Llama website for other interesting articles and subscribe to their newsletter.
    • Llamas-Alpacas.com
      • Claims to be the most comprehensive, most visited, camelid specific web site on the internet today.  Site is out of Canada and has an international audience.  Not much useful information on the site, but the Camelid Marketplace is fun to visit.
  • Potbellied Pigs
    • Oink Express
      • Site dedicated to potbellied pigs.  Great information and access to supplies.  Marvin rates this as a 4 oink site!
    • HealthyPigs.com
      • Part of the HeartLand Animal Health, Inc. Lots and lots of potbellied pig supplies available here.
