Loom
& Essence is a fiber arts and crafting studio.
We cover the entire life cycle of fiber art, from
the raising and breeding of llamas and angora goats,
the "harvesting" of the fiber, spinning
and dying and finally to weaving of finished goods.
Loom & Essence is the creation of Ken &
Celia Erion.
Loom & Essence
is now a part of L&E Farm. When we moved to
Oregon in 2004 we needed to setup another business
for the farm. Since our registered llama breeder
ID is L&E, we decided to call it, L&E Farm
and registered the business name accordingly.
Here on L&E
Farm we still breed llamas and angora goats for
fiber production. Along with the pastures, the farm
has about 12 arces of Christmas trees that were
never harvested. We have decided to let these grow
into forest since they are too large for Christmas
trees and too small for timber. The trees are also
overrun with brambles, mostly blackberries. So we've
decided to add meat goats to the herd in 2005 to
help control the weeds and add some revenue to the
farm.
The craft studio
is located in a large utility building that we call
Area 51. It took us a little while to convert the
space, but it is now finished and functional again.
We plan to open the studio to the public for special
events and if you are in the area, you are always
welcome to come and visit
Along with the
farm and the fiber crafts, we are still maintaining
some of our website hosting and programming. We
were fortunate to get new wiBand Internet service
from OnlineMac of McMinnville. So even out here
in the middle of nowhere, we have quality Internet
access.
If this is your
first visit to our site, come back a visit us often.
We plan to add web shopping soon.
Thanks for paying
us a visit!
